Troubleshooting
To reset a GivEnergy All in One battery system, perform a full power cycle by turning off the solar isolator, the battery, and the power switch, then wait a minute or two for it to fully power down before restarting the system in the reverse order (power switch, then solar, then battery). For issues with the Wi-Fi dongle, you will need the Give Installer app to reset the dongle’s Wi-Fi password by holding a button for 15 seconds. If you are having issues with settings in the GivEnergy portal, you can reset them to their default state by selecting “Reset to default” in the “Settings” menu within the “my inverter” section.
Submitting a GivEnergy Support Ticket
- Visit the GivEnergy Support Page
- Click on the Submit a Ticket link
- Fill out the form, then click Submit.
Quick Reset
Press the small round button on the upper right side of the GivEnergy battery for 5 seconds, then WAIT for 1 to 2 minutes whilst it turns off, restarts and resets. [video].
Performing a Hard System Reset (Power Cycle)
Turn off the solar isolator: Locate the PV (solar) isolator switch and turn it to the OFF position.
Turn off the AC isolator: Find the AC isolator for the inverter and switch it OFF.
Turn off the power switch: Switch off the main power to the system.
Wait: Allow approximately one to two minutes for the system to completely power down, which is indicated by the lights ceasing to flash.
Turn on in reverse order: Turn on the power switch first, then the solar isolator (if it’s day), and finally the battery switch.
Resetting the Wi-Fi Dongle (for Connectivity Issues)
Download the App: Get the Give Installer app on your mobile device.
Access the dongle: On your device, you will see a Wi-Fi network list. Locate your home network and the GivEnergy dongle, which will appear as a network name without a padlock symbol.
Update Wi-Fi details: In the Give Installer app, click the “update Wi-Fi details” button in the bottom right corner.
Enter details: Input the dongle serial number (found on the inverter) and your home Wi-Fi network name and password.
Connect: Click “Join” to transfer the Wi-Fi details to the dongle, and allow 10-15 minutes for the system to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Resetting System Settings (to Factory Defaults)
Log in to the Portal: Access the GivEnergy portal on your computer or mobile device.
Navigate to Settings: In the menu, go to “my inverter” and then select “Settings”.
Reset to Default: Click the “reset to default” button and confirm your choice to revert the settings to their original state.
